This page explains what our warranty covers, how long it lasts, and how to make a claim. We sell folding camping chairs and we stand behind what we carry. If something fails under normal use, we want to know about it and we will work to make it right.
What Our Warranty Covers
All folding camping chairs sold through Streamonpod come with a 90-day limited warranty from the date of delivery, covering manufacturing defects under normal use conditions.
The warranty covers:
- Frame defects including cracks, breaks, or weld failures that occur under normal use within the stated weight capacity
- Fabric tears, seam failures, or stitching separation that are not caused by misuse or sharp objects
- Cup holder or storage pocket detachment due to manufacturing defects
- Locking mechanism failures that prevent the chair from opening or closing properly under normal use
- For the heated double camping chair: power bank defects or heating pad failures within 90 days of delivery
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
- Damage caused by use beyond the stated weight capacity for the chair
- Damage from exposure to extreme weather conditions including prolonged rain, flooding, or freezing temperatures
- Normal wear and tear including fabric fading from UV exposure over time
- Damage caused by improper storage, such as leaving the chair wet and folded in a closed bag for extended periods
- Damage from misuse, accidents, or modifications to the chair
- Cosmetic damage including surface scratches, scuffs, or color variations that do not affect function
- Damage that occurs after the 90-day warranty period
- Lost or stolen items
A Note on Weight Capacity
Every chair we sell has a stated weight capacity listed on the product page. For double and 3-person chairs, this is a combined total for all seats, not a per-person limit. Using a chair beyond its rated capacity voids the warranty and creates a safety risk. If you are unsure which capacity is right for your situation, contact us before ordering and we will help you choose.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
If your chair develops a defect covered under this warranty within 90 days of delivery, follow these steps:
Step 1: Contact us within the warranty period
Email support@streamonpod.com with the following:
- Your order number
- A description of the defect
- Clear photos showing the defect, including the affected area and the full chair for context
- A photo of the chair label or tag if visible
Do not discard the chair or any parts before contacting us. We may need the photos to assess the issue.
Step 2: We review your claim
We will review the photos and description and respond within one business day, Monday through Friday. If the defect is confirmed as a manufacturing issue covered under the warranty, we will proceed with a resolution.
Step 3: Resolution
Depending on the nature and severity of the defect, we will offer one of the following:
- Replacement of the defective chair or component
- Refund of the purchase price to your original payment method
- Store credit at our discretion in specific cases
For confirmed manufacturing defects, we cover return shipping costs where a return is required. We do not provide prepaid return labels at this time. Ship the item using a trackable carrier and send us the receipt. Return shipping reimbursement will be included with your refund or processed separately.
Warranty Claims After 90 Days
Our formal warranty period is 90 days from delivery. If an issue develops after this period, contact us anyway. We review post-warranty issues on a case-by-case basis. We cannot guarantee a resolution for issues that arise outside the warranty period, but we will not ignore a reasonable concern about a product we sold.
Many common issues that come up in outdoor gear communities, including frame joint loosening or zipper wear on carry bags, are worth reaching out about even if time has passed. We would rather hear from you than have you write off a chair that might have a straightforward fix.
Normal Care and Maintenance
Taking basic care of your chair extends its life significantly and helps avoid issues that the warranty does not cover.
- Wipe fabric down with a damp cloth and mild soap after outdoor use. Allow to air dry fully before folding and storing.
- Do not store the chair folded while the fabric is still damp. This causes mildew over time.
- Wipe the steel frame dry after rain or heavy dew, especially at the leg joints, to slow surface rust.
- Store the chair in a dry location when not in use. A garage or closet is fine. Avoid leaving it outside through multiple wet seasons.
- Do not exceed the stated weight capacity. The frame is engineered to a specific load rating.
Frequently Asked Warranty Questions
My chair arrived with a bent frame leg. Is this covered?
Yes. Damage that is present on arrival or results from a manufacturing defect is covered. Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we will arrange a resolution. This falls under our shipping damage and defect policy as well as the warranty.
The fabric ripped after a few uses. Is that a warranty issue?
It depends on how and where it ripped. A seam failure or tear along a stitched edge that occurs under normal sitting use within 90 days is likely a manufacturing defect and would be covered. A tear caused by contact with a sharp object, a zipper, or another external factor is not covered. Send us photos and we will assess it honestly.
The locking mechanism stopped working after two months. What do I do?
Contact us with your order number and photos or a short video showing the issue. Locking mechanism failures under normal use within the warranty period are covered. We will confirm and arrange a replacement or resolution.
Can I use the chair if I weigh close to the weight limit?
The weight capacity is the maximum total load the chair is rated for under normal use on firm, level ground. If your weight approaches the limit, we recommend choosing a chair with a higher capacity to leave a safety margin. Using a chair at or near its limit is not ideal for long-term durability and reduces the safety buffer built into the frame rating.
My carry bag zipper broke. Is that covered?
Zipper failures on carry bags within 90 days of delivery are covered if they result from a manufacturing defect. Contact us with photos. If the zipper failed from overstuffing or forcing the bag closed, that is not covered, but we may be able to help you find a solution.
I bought this as a gift. Does the warranty apply to the recipient?
Yes. The warranty applies to the chair based on the delivery date of the original order. If the recipient experiences a defect within 90 days of that delivery date, contact us with the original order number and we will handle the claim.
